Traveltrekkr is run by Christina Matheson who has traversed the globe for 30 years and has traveled to over 30 countries in the course of her lifetime. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, scuba diving and skiing. When she’s not trekking through the mountains near her hometown, Vancouver, Canada, she’s off on an adventure around the globe.

Very cool event: Give feedback, be involved in the play
Start Nights are an opportunity for emerging and established writers to test a new, incomplete script on an audience and use the response they get to improve the play. Up to five short extracts are presented on Start Night with minimal set and props. The audience is asked to give written feedback on each extract which is then collated and given to the writers.

Ever gone to a gallery in London on the weekend? Don’t you just love standing in the long queues, only to find out that all the tickets have been sold to the exhibition you’ve been waiting to see all week? Elizabeth Street Party London 2009



This just in, the 2009 Elizabeth Street Party in Belgravia, London is set for Wednesday June 10th. Organized by the Belgravia Trader’s Association, Elizabeth Street is transformed into a carnival for the evening. Local retailers take their wares out on the street and live performers entertain the crowds.

The Elizabeth Street Party runs from 6pm – 11pm, Wednesday 10th June 2009. Admission is £3.00 and all proceeds go towards Veterans Aid.

Culinary Delights in the Park

There’s no better way to spend your summer than heading outdoors and sampling the culinary delights the city has to offer. Sample food from some of London’s very best restaurants at the Taste of London from June 18 – 21st in Regent’s Park.  Included in this years roster are Michelin Star rated restaurants such as Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester, Le Gavroche and Pied à Terre.  Standard tickets for the Taste of London cost £21.00 and food can be sampled by using Taste of London’s dining currency of crowns (1 crown = £1) which can either be purchased online or at the event. What about dessert?

Don’t fret, there is something out there for all of you with a sweet tooth. The good people at  My Chocolate offer unique chocolate making workshops. Start with the Original Chocolate Workshop, a two-and-a-half hour class that takes you through the process of creating your own chocolate.  Workshops are held every Sunday at 10:30am, 2:30pm, 6:30pm and My Chocolate’s workshop (16-16a Baldwin’s Gardens, London, EC1N 7RJ).  Cost is £55 per person, or £99 for 2 people.
